1. Product description

HPM TileBond C1, new name TileBond 200 Home, is an innovative cement-based tile adhesive in the form of a one-component. The adhesive is produced from Portland cement, selected mineral aggregates and polymer additives imported from HPM's factory in Phu Tho, according to TCVN 7899-1:2008. When using, it only needs to be mixed with clean water according to the instructions.

The product is for dry interior tiles such as living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, instead of traditional cement mortar tiles.

Key features

  • Stable adhesion: the adhesion strength under standard conditions is 0.7 MPa or more; after immersion, after heating, and after thawing, it is 0.5 MPa or more.
  • Anti-slip: keep the tiles stable on the wall during construction, limit movement.
  • Limit back-seepage: reduce mold moisture under the finishing tiles.
  • Easy to apply: opening time from 20 minutes, use time about 60 minutes after mixing (at 27°C).
“When cladding walls, it is recommended to apply a thin layer of glue on the back of the tile so that the glue covers and adheres more firmly.”

2. On-site applications

  • Materials: ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles with water absorption of over 0.5% and natural stone with a maximum weight of 45 kg/m².
  • Works: civil houses, apartments, offices and commercial buildings.
  • Area: dry furniture such as living room, bedroom, kitchen.
  • Surface: dry floor and cement wall.

Suitable Tile Size

Location Ceramic TilesPorcelain Tiles
FlooringMaximum 100x100 cm
Wall cladding (maximum height 3 m)Maximum 40x80 cmMaximum 30x60 cm

For outdoor tiling, wet areas, or larger format tiles, it is recommended to use C2 HPM TileBond tile adhesive.

4. How to use and application steps

Construction Information

  • Mixing ratio: glue and water in a ratio of 1: 0.20 to 0.24 by weight, equivalent to about 5 to 6 liters of clean water for 1 bag of 25 kg.
  • Consumption norms: 3.5 to 5.0 kg/m², depending on the size of the tiles and surface roughness.
  • Construction surface temperature: from 12°C to 40°C.
  • Grout waiting time: wall after 7 to 8 hours, floor after 24 hours.

Step 1: Surface Preparation

The surface must be solid, clean, flat, free of dust, grease or impurities that reduce adhesion. Strongly absorbing water needs to be moistened first but not allowed to stagnate.

Step 2: Mix the glue

Put the quantified amount of water into the container, slowly pour in the glue and stir well. It is recommended to use a hand whisk or a low-speed mixer to make the glue homogeneous.

Step 3: Tiling

Use a serrated trowel to plaster the glue on the base, keep the plane at an angle of about 60 degrees so that the glue groove is even. Large tiles should be plastered with a thin layer of glue on the back of the tile (double cladding), place the tiles and tap lightly with a rubber hammer to spread the glue evenly.

Step 4: Cleaning

Wipe off any excess glue with a damp sponge before the glue dries completely.

Storage and safety

Keep in a dry place, put on a pallet, keep the bag tight. The shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture. The glue contains cement, it is recommended to wear gloves and glasses when applying, avoid letting the wet glue stick to the skin for a long time.
